Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power which is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
This week we dove into God’s grand plan to do “immeasurably more” in our city than that which we can imagine. We learned about the five redemptive roots of Kansas City and were inspired to be a part of God’s story. Together we said “yes” to God’s Spirit moving through us as we trade the American dream for the greater reward of his glory filling the earth.
- Visionary Leaders – Pray for the spirit of innovation and creativity to inspire our leaders to produce great works for God. Ask the Father for a greater vision for your home and family and take time to listen for his creative ideas that follow.
- A Launching Pad – Pray for those in Kansas City who have moved here to be trained, equipped, and sent out. Pray especially for international students who’ve come to learn and be sent back to their home countries. Father, we ask you would encounter them with your love and mark them with your presence.
- Championing the Outsider – Ask the Lord to identify people in your life, workplace, family, or sphere of influence who feel isolated. Take time to pray that they would be adopted into the family of God and experience his extravagant welcome home.
- Hearts of Mercy – Pray for the church of Kansas City, that the Lord would teach us, mature us, and prepare us to be a people who care for the needs of the broken and hurting.
- Strategic Partnership – Praise the Lord for the opportunity he’s given us in being members of Plexpod. Pray that the Spirit would move us to form relationships with other like-minded businesses, believers, and innovators for the glory of God.
In all these things we remember that our role is more important than we know and his ability greater than we’ve realized. Thank you, Father, for being immeasurably more kind, powerful, and generous than anything we’ve known.
