This week we are praying for the Northland Missional Community led by Jason and Katie Egli and Andy and Cami Carlson.
Originally sprouting out of mutual love and mission to Japan, the Northland MC share an affection for the nations and a desire to see every culture worship Jesus. Our mission is to share our hearts and homes with foreigners who’ve landed here in the Kansas City, whether for a semester or a lifetime. Our hope can be summed up in Leviticus 19:34. “The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.”
Please pray
- We would grow in our “gospel identity”, learning to confidently articulate and live out the foundational teachings of the gospel.
- For the two internationals in our group (Korean and Japanese friends) to experience the affection of Jesus and power of the Holy Spirit through the Church. Pray also that they would excel in their English language abilities, since that’s why they came 🙂
- For employment among a handful who are in need. We are asking God for His direction and provision!
- We would continue to grow in unity as God reveals our role in the city and in our neighborhoods.
As you take time to meet with the Lord, may your ear be tender to His voice. May it be a sweet sound to your soul this week.
“My dove in the clefts of the rock, in the hiding places on the mountainside, show me your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.”
